Mark Ruffalo to play Hulk in The Avengers?

We’ve all heard it by now, Edward Norton will not return as The Hulk in The Avengers. Joaquin Phoenix have already been claimed to get the part, now rumours says that Mark Ruffalo is considered for it.
slashwirE have already made a Top 10 of actors who should play the next Hulk, but Mark Ruffalo, nor Joaquin Phoenix, are on that list. Still both of them are highly rumoured to get the part as The Hulk.

You might recognize Mark Ruffalo for his parts in films like Shutter Island, The Brothers Bloom, Zodiac, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Windtalkers and Reservation Road – where he actually played alonsgide Joaquin Phoenix.

Although Ruffalo is by many considered a great actor, the 42 year old has so far in his career not played a big part in any really huge movie -yet. If he gets the part, he would be a surprising, but good choice – and a chance to play alongside actors like Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Don Cheadle and Jeremy Renner could be a late, but good boost in his career as an actor.

What do you think of Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk?

I’m sorry, but IMO Edward Norton is the only Bruce Banner and I find this story to be a bit of a downer. But, what do I know? Maybe whoever they pick will be at least halfway decent…

Yeah, I agree with you there. But we have to look forward. There are plenty good actors out there, and even though they won’t be as good as Edward Norton, they could still do an acceptable job. Hopefully.
